My Killer EbookIt has been more than 3 years since the affiliate marketing rush. At the time when affiliate marketing was hot, everyone seems so excited and jumped into the bandwagon hoping to grab their portion of the pie. We have seen A LOT of people writing and selling ebooks related to 'killer' affiliate marketing techniques.

After couple of years, the popularity of affiliate marketing subsided and replaced by the uprise of Google Adsense marketing websites. Many so-called "professional" or "internet entrepreneurs" then sits down and crammed their head to come out with their so called "killer technique" for Google Adsense. We have so many people selling killer e-books out there nowadays which sold for as low as zilch to couple of hundreds and ranging from very good to pure crap.

Google adsense seems to sink in slowly each days. Google Adsense scraper websites becoming less everyday in the SERPs thanks to Google revision on their algorithm to penalized websites with no original contents. By the end of the day, only websites with original and quality content will persevered. So if you are thinking on writing and selling your own Google Adsense killer e-book or any killer e-books related to internet business, PLEASE make sure that you have the capacity and the suitable experiences before doing so. You may tricked any of your friends into buying your crap but bare in mind that everything you do will definitely comes around.

Tiny steps into the world of OOP

One of the big things that kept us from moving forward is by feeling comfortable on where we are standing now. For more than three years I have involved with web design and desktop publishing, this is the time which I able to embrace myself to take tiny steps into the world of Object-oriented programming (OOP). In my case, I have chose programming languages that are used widely in web and application development are PHP (& MySQL) and Javascript.

Although I am pretty confident with my markup language skills, it has been quite difficult for me to get a firm grip even on the BASIC concepts of PHP and MySQL. It is undeniable that it takes time to digest the syntax and to fully understand how the codes work, but by comparing to markup language coding, PHP and MySQL is like 100 times harder. I have been reading this book for noob guide on PHP and MySQL but honestly I found that Tizag PHP & MySQL tutorial presented the topic with clearer explanation and better examples and I am more than happy to recommend this website to all PHP and MySQL noob out there.

To make your life so much easier, I do recommend you to install local server in your PC for testing purposes. You can save time and energy by doing this so you do not have to waste time running FTP program, uploading files and accessing MySQL through your hosting server panel. You can either follow this tutorial and install Apache, MySQL, PHP and phpMyAdmin separately or you can install WAMP which automatically install Apache, PHP5, MySQL database, PHPmyadmin and SQLitemanager on your computer. Please note there is a security risk with WAMP if you are planning to publish your server into the world wide web especially when you are running on Windows XP.

In the end, hopefully I can comprehend the coding and implement the knowledge to build my own application from scratch which some of them are:

1. Project Management System
2. Client Relationship Management (CRM)
3. Knowledge Based System
4. Robust Content Management System (CMS)

Website Redesign or Realign?

After almost 4 hours working on the design and coding, I manage to put up the entire blog using fully hand-coded design. While disregarding the advise from Cameron Moll in her article Good Designers Redesign, Great Designers Realign, I still think it is nice to let your creativity runs wild and come up with something that fit with your current taste buds. For those who does not have time to read the previous article (which is a really good one), This blurb does sum up the main point:

Forward thinkers understand content is still king and focus on such while deploying minimal upgrades, rather than relying on skillful makeovers that gain short-lived traffic spurts following award listings but offer downright weak content.

Anyway, the main objective for this new design is to convert this blog into my portfolio showcase for future reference. It is better this way because not some of my work cannot be put under Be Defined Interactive Media portfolio especially when you are subcontracted under another web design firm. Feel free to roam around and I do appreciate if you can let me know if you bump into any bug when navigating through this site.

Written by fools, to be read by imbeciles

An article written by the Wall Street Journal editor, Joseph Rago entitled The Blog Mob ignited an uproar within the blogosphere community. The article mainly disparaging the integrity of blogs. Although his conjecture on "Here's my opinion, right now" does reflect on the nature of many blogs, which deprive on primary and beneficial information and tend to be more personal compared to 'unbiased' mainstream journalist article. It is undeniable that great percentage of blogs out there function as a relay station for the mainstream media; however, how much effort the writer put in processing the information and to assimilate his view points with regards to the issue determine the quality of the post.

The bloggers, for their part, produce minimal reportage. Instead, they ride along with the mainstream media (MSM) like remora fish on the bellies of sharks, picking at the scraps.

Of course there is a significant difference of quality between blogs that reflected on their popularity in public. The emergence of cut-n-paste and adsense blogs has corrupted the integrity of the blogosphere, taking all other blogs down into the drain. Therefore, it is unwise for the author to level every blogs on the same plane and critisize the blogosphere on a single plane. This only prove the inaccuracy of generalisation when coming out with a conjecture like this.

Every conceivable belief is on the scene, but the collective prose, by and large, is homogeneous: A tone of careless informality prevails; posts oscillate between the uselessly brief and the uselessly logorrheic; complexity and complication are eschewed; the humor is cringe-making, with irony present only in its conspicuous absence; arguments are solipsistic; writers traffic more in pronouncement than persuasion.

Personally, I used to post up "uselessly brief and the uselessly logorrheic" content in my blogs, it what makes blog fun, both for readers and bloggers. We write on our subject of interest, whether it is blatantly brief or uselessly logorrheic, it is up for the readers to decide. You can even write The World’s Most Boring Article, and still manage to attract niche portion of the internet community. So next time, please leave the decision on whether blogs are suitable for public consumption or not to the public will ya?

Same Song Different Chorus :: Autosurf and Ponzie scheme

More than 90% of the autosurf program that require upgrade from their member are based on Ponzie scheme. It is important for you to know how does Ponzie scheme work and how to identify whether an autosurf program is a Ponzie scheme or not. It is fair to say that Ponzie scheme is actually a new form of theft because each dollar put into by other members are used to pay another member and this scheme will collapse one day because it cannot sustains to pay all the members. This will end up with lots of members losing their money and all the top people in pyramid who benefits from this scheme. This scheme does exploit the public stupidity or naiveness. Read More
