Written by fools, to be read by imbeciles
An article written by the Wall Street Journal editor, Joseph Rago entitled The Blog Mob ignited an uproar within the blogosphere community. The article mainly disparaging the integrity of blogs. Although his conjecture on "Here's my opinion, right now" does reflect on the nature of many blogs, which deprive on primary and beneficial information and tend to be more personal compared to 'unbiased' mainstream journalist article. It is undeniable that great percentage of blogs out there function as a relay station for the mainstream media; however, how much effort the writer put in processing the information and to assimilate his view points with regards to the issue determine the quality of the post.
Of course there is a significant difference of quality between blogs that reflected on their popularity in public. The emergence of cut-n-paste and adsense blogs has corrupted the integrity of the blogosphere, taking all other blogs down into the drain. Therefore, it is unwise for the author to level every blogs on the same plane and critisize the blogosphere on a single plane. This only prove the inaccuracy of generalisation when coming out with a conjecture like this.
Personally, I used to post up "uselessly brief and the uselessly logorrheic" content in my blogs, it what makes blog fun, both for readers and bloggers. We write on our subject of interest, whether it is blatantly brief or uselessly logorrheic, it is up for the readers to decide. You can even write The World’s Most Boring Article, and still manage to attract niche portion of the internet community. So next time, please leave the decision on whether blogs are suitable for public consumption or not to the public will ya?

Feel the melodies in the air
It is the time of the month which I wish I was in a band touring across Europe. It always will be one of my dream. Anyway, it has been quite a long time since I shuffle up my play list with songs from new bands. It seems that there is an outbreak of so-called crappy "emo" bands with idiotic and meaningless name which infesting the mind of a group of badly-haired youth. This always kept me from listening to new bands.
If you flip the history of emo, you will realize that emo is originally from the Hardcore / Punk scene. When you start swimming in the mainstream industry, you cannot bring the element of HC / punk with you. Probably you can use the term pop-emo (like pop-punk) to make it more suitable for mainstream audience. Read More

Trying to maintain some scrap of integrity
It has been a while since my last adrenaline rush, bah! I missed the old days so much, the fellowship, all out of this world jokes and pranks, sharing the same music, even the same genre. It is almost impossible to get the same rush again, probably this is the price you pay as you grow old.
I do feel like waking up on the wrong side of the bed today, so to cheer up myself a little, I let myself reminiscing all the rush that I missed so much when walking to the university this morning. I know I'm being a tad pathetic but the background music by Alexis On Fire surprisingly helping out in the process. So I started to scrap out some of my past rush that I missed so much: Read More
